Great Ouse Primary Academy, Bedford will open as a brand new school in September 2017 and is a proud member of Sharnbrook Academy Federation (SAF). Initially, the school will open with a Pre-School, YR, Y1 and Y2 classes. The school will eventually grow to 420 pupils and be two form entry. Great Ouse Primary Academy thinks and dreams big for its pupils, developing them into great achievers.

We are looking to recruit professionals who share and embrace the school’s core vision of having high expectations for all children; teaching an exciting and challenging curriculum; making every moment count and enabling children to flourish within and beyond the school walls.

We require a hard-working and fully committed site agent to work a split shift at our new school.

The successful applicant must be prepared to work a split shift (7am - 9am and 4pm - 6pm weekdays and school holidays).

Level 2A, Points 10-13 (£13,653 - £14,675 pa)

37 hours per week Term Time Only Plus 5 CPD days

The Pre-School is situated within the grounds of Great Ouse Primary Academy and provides day care to pre-school children aged 3 years to school age.

The two successful applicants will play a key role in planning, organising and carrying out a suitable programme of activities for the children to ensure they develop both speaking, listening and social skills in a safe and secure environment. Good communication skills together with a deep knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum are required and applicants should hold a minimum of NVQ level 3 childcare qualification and ideally a first aid qualification or be willing to undertake training. You will be expected to work closely with the Pre-School Manager and EYFS Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and experienced classroom practitioner who has a deep knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent. The role will involve leading and managing staffing teams which are essential to this role. You must be able to demonstrate commitment and passion for education through raising standards and introducing new initiatives including planning and delivering the outstanding learning opportunities for our children in a brand new setting.
